Let me answer your mural musings…
Q: What kind of paint do you use?
A: I use interior and exterior latex house paint. I also use acrylic paint and acrylic paint pens for more specific colors and details. I’ll even mix my own colors and use a combination of house paint and acrylic paint. Once I’m done all murals are sealed with a protective clear coat.
Q: How long does it take to paint a mural?
A: It really depends on the project details. Larger murals can take weeks while small murals with a lot of detail can also take just as long. If your project is on a strict timeline and/or on the larger side I will hire an assistant to help complete the project. All of these factors will be discussed during our consultation and quoted into the project.
Q: Do you do indoor and outdoor murals?
A: Yes, I do both indoor and outdoor murals.
Q: How does the mural process work from start to finish?
A: Take a look at our Mural Pricing and Info page!
Q: Do you offer design mock-ups and revisions?
A: Yes! We offer digital mock ups and revisions as part of the design process. We charge a $150 design fee that includes one mock up and one round of revisions. Additional revisions are $50 per round.
Q: What surfaces can you paint on?
A: All kinds! So far I’ve painted on wood paneling, corrugated metal, textured interior walls, concrete, and brick.
Q: How much does a custom mural cost?
A: It depends on your project. Murals are largely based on size and complexity. Additional costs that affect it are, travel and surface prep. Take a look at our Mural Pricing Guide for more details!
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, I require a 50% deposit prior to beginning the project. This helps me purchase materials and rent any equipment needed to complete the project.
Q: Do you travel for mural projects?
A: Yes, travel costs will be negotiated into the cost of the mural project.
